The AONN+ Midyear Conference, held May 4-6, 2018, in Boston, MA, was certified for up to 13 contact hours of CE credit. This educational initiative is intended for hematology/oncology nurse navigators, patient navigators, and social workers whose focus is on cancer care and survivorship. The role of the navigator is ever-evolving. At times, it can be difficult to clearly define the difference between compassion fatigue and burnout, and to recognize the importance of self-care.
